DISCOVERY

Getting the Discovery phase right ensures you clearly understand the problem you are trying to solve and have a clear plan for how you are going to solve it.

WHY DO YOU NEED DISCOVERY?

Validate your idea

The main objective here is to identify the feasibility of your project. Once it is done, we analyse the market, your competitors and your productโ€™s target audience. This ensures we are able to create a customer-focused product that meets your business goals.

Understand the customer experience

Taking a deeper dive into understanding your customers and how they are likely to behave is critical to devising a digital experience that those customers will love to use.

Have a plan for where you are going

To build a crystal-clear product roadmap that clearly communicates deliverables and the expectations for where the product is going and why.

Plan your budget

The discovery phase gives you an opportunity to focus on the core features articulated in the project roadmap. It makes forecasting the budget for your project predictable and reduces the likelihood of unexpected costs.

Minimise risk

Any uncertainties make development more complex and expensive. Thoroughly considered requirements reduce the likelihood of any problems emerging and set you up for continued success.

HOW DO WE DO DISCOVERY?

We work in an agile way to ensure we can deliver your outcomes as quickly as possible. Each discovery project is broken down into a collection of two week sprints to complete a set amount of work. This results in fortnightly outcomes with meaningful impact.

WHAT DO YOU RECEIVE?

Idea Validation

A confirmation that there is a real demand on the market for your product, based on thorough research and hard data.

Product Research

A report rich in data and backed by deep research that will help you to adjust your product to your target audience.

First-Look User Experience

Thanks to very basic wireframes, you’ll be able to see your product UX for the first time and also have access to the findings and insights from user testing.

Functional Outline

You will receive technical documentation that details the functional and non-functional requirements for your product. Based on that, any digital experience agency will be able to quote on and deliver it.

CUSTOMISED TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DISCOVERY?

At the conclusion of the Discovery phase the sprint outcomes are combined to create the Project Discovery Report, a document that positions your project for Phase 2 and continued success.

Phase 2 is where you will define and refine the flow and structure of the product to be produced and calculate an estimate for the cost to develop the end product based on the requirements gathered in Phase 1.

Delivery of the end product takes place in Phase 3. This phase works through the Product Backlog developed in Phase 2 and allows for the refinement and continuous improvement of the product.
